1. Who we are

Glucides Hero is an educational carbohydrate-estimation app, published by Kevin Chapoulie (the "publisher"). For any question about this policy: chap@alt155.com.

2. What the app stores — locally

All data created in the app is stored on your device only (local database):

• your logged meals (description, estimated carbs, date);
• your optional profile (first name, diabetes type, height, weight);
• your game progression (XP, streak, achievements);
• your favorites and settings.

There is no user account, and the publisher operates no server that receives or stores this data. It may be included in your device's encrypted backup (iCloud/Google), which is managed by Apple or Google according to your system settings.

3. AI analysis (optional)

When you request an AI meal analysis (text description or photo), the content to analyse transits through our analysis service — a technical relay hosted on Cloudflare — and is then sent to the Google Gemini API, which produces the estimate. This transmission:

• contains no personal identifiers (no name, no e-mail, no advertising identifier);
• is used solely to produce the carbohydrate estimate;
• is not used by the publisher for any other purpose and is not retained by the publisher; the Cloudflare relay only forwards the request, without storing it.

Google's processing is governed by the Gemini API terms: Google may temporarily retain these requests for security and abuse-prevention purposes, and does not use them for advertising. Purely local analyses (scanned products, fast-food kiosk, pantry) never leave your device.

4. Barcode scanning

When you scan a product, only the product barcode is sent to the open database Open Food Facts to retrieve its nutritional information. No personal data accompanies this request.

5. Apple Health (HealthKit)

If — and only if — you enable it in the settings, the app writes your consumed carbohydrates to Apple Health. It does not read any Health data. You can revoke this access at any time in iOS settings. HealthKit data is never used for advertising and is never shared with third parties.

6. Photos and camera

The camera is used for barcode scanning and meal photos. A meal photo is kept only inside the app, on your device: it is not added to your iOS photo library, and is transmitted only if you start an AI analysis (see §3).

7. In-app purchases

The Premium subscription is handled entirely by the App Store (Apple). The publisher never sees or stores any payment data.

8. What the app does not do

• No ads, no trackers, no third-party analytics.
• No selling or sharing of data.
• No profiling.

9. Deleting your data

Since your data is local, deleting the app deletes your data. You can also export/import it at any time (Settings → My data) — the export file remains under your sole control.

10. Health disclaimer

Glucides Hero is an educational carbohydrate estimation tool. It provides no medical advice, computes no insulin doses, and does not replace your care team.

Any update to this policy will be published at this address, with its revision date.
